Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make The Pataskala Vision Center a proud provider of vision care products and services in Pataskala.


Steven D. Walsh, O.D.

Steven D. Walsh, O.D. is a central Ohio native and life-long Buckeye fan. He graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School, did his undergraduate work at Miami University, and received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1993.

While he was in Optometry School, Dr. Walsh worked at The Pataskala Vision Center for Dr. Mason as an optician. He and his family have lived in Pataskala since 2000 and he is excited about being able to work at The Pataskala Vision Center again.

In addition to working at our office, Dr. Walsh also works at an eye surgery center doing preoperative and postoperative surgical care. Dr. Walsh trains and mentors other Optometrists in refractive surgical care and is a credentialing board member for the National Lasik Network.

When he isn’t working Dr. Walsh enjoys spending time with his family, attending his daughters’ 4H horse shows and soccer games, and going out with his wife Chaureen.


Amber N. Slezak, O.D.

Amber N. Slezak, O.D. is from Bath, Ohio which is a small town in northeast Ohio by Akron. She graduated from Revere High School in 2006, did her undergraduate work at Capital University, and received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2014.

Dr. Slezak then completed a one-year residency in ocular disease at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Hospital. Since then, she has been providing mobile eye care by doing eye exams at nursing home facilities.

Dr. Slezak joined The Pataskala Vision Center in 2017 and has loved being a part of this community.

In her free time, Dr. Slezak enjoys spending time with her husband Nick (a native of Pataskala), their two daughters, and two dogs.
